The SEAT Alhambra Named Best MPV

The SEAT Alhambra Named Best MPV

SEAT is celebrating a winning start to 2011 with news that its all-new SEAT Alhambra has scooped the MPV title at this year's What Car? Awards.

SEAT is celebrating two awards for the SEAT Alhambra MPV, with both Diesel Car and Fleet World naming it Best MPV.

The awards recognise the SEAT Alhambra's combination of flexibility, value for money and quality.

SEAT UK's Head of Fleet and Business Sales, Nick Andrews collected the Fleet World Best MPV trophy at a celebtation in the historic Royal Automobile Club on London’s Pall Mall.

Fleet World Editor Steve Moody said: "SEAT’s new Alhambra does everything an MPV should. It is priced right, has seven adaptable seats and a pair of sliding doors, meaning that it can do any task asked of it.

"And, aside from the more workmanlike aspects of its job, it is also stylish and robust with a range of usefully efficient engines and comfort features."

The Fleet World judjing panel is chaired by Editor of Fleet World, Steve Moody along with members of Fleet World editorial team.

Diesel Car Editor Ian Robertson said: "vIt looks stylish, packs in plenty of space for seven people and a load of kit, and is as practical as they come."

SEAT UK Managing Director Peter Wyhinny said: "Scooping these two important awards in a single day is yet another indicator of just how good our new seven-seater really is.

"I’m especially pleased to see that its impressive qualities have been recognised by specialist titles in both the fleet and diesel sectors, and I’m sure the fast-growing band of happy Alhambra owners will agree with the judges" verdicts."

The SEAT Alhambra is available in S, SE and SE Lux trim and prices start from £22,815. A Choice of turbo charged petrol or diesel engines are offered along with either a six speed manual or six speed DSG auto, which provides sequential manual operation with the use steering wheel mounted paddle shifts.
